Like they do for International tickets, they should allow all FC ticket holders into the Club. I don't see what the big deal is since they are already cut all those FC on most places it would be a decent way to make up for it.

There doesn't begin to be enough seats to accomodate all the FC pax at a large airport in the Clubs. Just think of PHL alone. How many FC pax fly through there each hour?

Paid or upgraded? Go fly first or truly F?

I am a Club member and have no issue with a true paid F person getting access. Those are some steep F fares!

I agree, full F, maybe A should - not upgraders.

AW used to do just that - let A and F domestic passengers use the clubs. Did this procedure not carry through to US?

It did not. Though I think at one point they had already change it to F pax pay half day-rate of $20. Tacky I thought.

Then again no other US airline let's any F into clubs except paid premium class on UA and AA transcons.

I believe AC let's all Exec class pax into the Maple Leaf Lounges.

Even if just paid F and A pax, big hub cities like PHL would never be able to accomodate that many guests. Consider all the originating pax plus all the transiting pax. Even with three clubs (two of a generous size), it couldn't happen. You're talking 100's of FC pax in PHL at any time, on top of the paid club members, and the *A international pax.

I'm not disagreeing that it's a nice perk and probably a good idea to please those who pay the high fares. I'm just saying that in places like PHL (or LAS or CLT) that it wouldn't be possible. BUF? Sure. PHL? No capacity for that.

OT: how about a new club in the new SFO location?!

Do you really believe that there are that many people paying F fares? I'll bet that it's less than 10% on any day. Come on, we're talking US domestic here. I love the space, but not enough to pay what they are asking for. I have paid for short flights in the West with my wife and son, but they jacked those fares to unreasonable amounts since the merger.

Are there really that many people left who are paying for full F or even A fares on US these days?

In my opinion (just my opinion, not trying to state fact here, folks), yes there are. I base this on my own purchases of mostly A-fares. I'm shocked when I go to do seat selection and see how many seats are already assigned, and this is always before any 7-day window. Surely not all these folks have used miles to upgrade in advance.

On what routes though?

I think there is some paid-F/A on transcons and some other heavy business routes but the average short-haul route I think has very little.
