I had 4000 miles in my America West Flight Fund account pre-merger. When they announced the timeline for merging accounts, I sat tight per their instuctions, and continued to use my US Airways account (since that was the account with status). However, it seems that when they went to combine my Flight Fund and Dividend Miles account into one, they expired my 4000 Flight Fund miles due to inactivity. Can I get them back? Nope! Oh, well. Not very customer friendly, IMO. Could I have credited a flight or two to AWA? Sure, but they said not to worry and all would be taken care of--just keep using one account or the other. So much for taking care of the customer who got screwed during the merger incompetence. They'd obviously rather make a former CP customer mad than loosen their grip on 4000 miles, I guess. I'd totally dump US Airways altogether if I weren't planning a move to PHX next year. :( Maybe I'll dump 'em anyway...
Oh yeah...FWIW, I talked to three different people and everyone stood their ground on it. :(
