Yeah, we're no longer switching between 747s and 777s on ICN-ORD ORD-ICN (KE 37 and 38). :) 60 C seats, always completely booked (and often pushing pax to F), I think that's why... :D I like working with the bigger bird although it brings so much more work and stress :p

Love Korean Air! Love the Bibimpab in C! :) Do you have to speak Korean to work as a ticketing agent in Chi-Town? Just curious....

Yeah! With Asiana in it's own forum, this one quieted down quite a bit! Of course, I'm stateside right now.... Once I get back into Seoul (in a couple of days) I'll be visiting here more often! ;)

Well the bad news is that they are old seats. What happened to all the flights that had new seats that now show old seats on Korean's news web page (http://www.koreanair.com/local/na/gd/eng/ft/ne/eng_ft_ne_060427.htm) . I have a ticket on flight 12 in 2 weeks and I chose the flight thinking I was getting the new seats, now it shows old seats!!! I am not happy.  In fact, I am furious!!!!   I think I will change for a DL flight through ATL.
DL offered me today to go through ATL and I stuck with the KE operated flight. That was before I went back to look at the web page. Now I regret it.
Is there a mistake in that page?

Um, no, these are the newly upgraded 747-400s with new seats, AVODs and WiFi by Boeing (Connexion). We ONLY get new planes to ORD station.

Then the web page giving the status of new vs old seats (http://www.koreanair.com/local/na/gd/eng/ft/ne/eng_ft_ne_060427.htm) must be wrong. It says KE 37/38 have old seats. How about KE 11-12?

How about to ATL?? I've been thinking about going to the West Coast to catch a 777 to ICN instead of the 747 out of ATL, thinking only 777's have the new seats. How is the refurbishment going??

Due to the transit period in upgrading the fleet to new configurations, only a few stations have a fixed, confirmed schedule for the newly upgraded planes. Stations like ORD has a confirmed, fixed 747-400 with upgraded features everyday, and some stations are going through a provisional period with the upgraded planes, meaning some days they'll receive the new one and some days they won't.
I do agree that that webpage needs to be updated, I spoke to the station manager about it so let's see what happens. For the time being, all questions regarding what is available on ur flight should be directed to the AIRPORT TICKETING OFFICE rather than the US 1-800 reservation desk. The ticketing office numbers can be found on Koreanair.com Sorry guys I couldn't give you guys more details but I only work at ORD! :P

Though the web site says that KE12 is old seats, I had new seats on Saturday! ^
Korean need to have more English in their inflight magazine! Maybe it would attract more non-Korean...
