Are there any free hotspots in Toronto? Much to my dismay, I can't use my T-Mo account at the Starbucks here.

Untether me!

Just wanted to say thanks for the link! Worked great... but it doesn't help that Toronto is pretty deficient in the free WiFi realm.

I don't know if you're a beer fan, but nearly all of Toronto's best beer bars have free WiFi:

C'est What (http://www.cestwhat.com)
Caffe Volo (http://www.barvolo.com/)
BeerBistro (http://www.beerbistro.com/)
Bow and Arrow (http://www.arrowpubs.com/Bow.html)
Granite Brewery (http://www.granitebrewery.ca/)

Sup microbrews and surf simultaneously...

According to the signs ( I have not tried it) there is free Wi-Fi in Dundas Square (Dundas/Yonge)

If only other cities I travelled in offered in-bar WiFi.

the toronto hydro onezone is the best and screaming fast as long as you're in the downtorn core - pretty large area actually

Followup: I liked using the Holiday Inn.. there was one right next to some bar (might have been a British pub). Sorry, I totally have no idea what street it was.
