Here is a restaurant I highly recommend that is located within walking distance of Union Station. It has some of the best mexican food I have ever eaten and the prices are pretty decent.

Personally, for Mexican food on the Hill, I would suggest La Lomita Dos, in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Ave. It's been there for about 20 years and is consistently good and affordable.

I didn't find it to be that great.
Yeah the outside seating is cool, and its in a convenient location if you're on the hill...but definitely not my favorite.
My favorite DC mexican is probably the Guapo's in Tenleytown

Waiter grabbed my friend's breast there. Never going to La Loma again.
Guapo's is OK. Cactus Cantina across from Nat'l Cathedral is my preferred "Mexican" restaurant within the city.
