Just curious if any other FTers attended the Hillsongs Conference in Sydney from 3-7 July? The short story is that it was truly amazing!

I would love to attend one of their programs. When we visited Sydney, we attended one of the satellite Hills Churches. Best worship anywhere in the world. ^

On the Monday immediately following the conference, Brian Houston, Darlene Zschech, their spouses and others from Hillsongs were leaving for Rwanda to do a follow-up visit to their Hope Rwanda mission project.

In addition to taking all of us to a new spiritual level, I was immensly struck by the overall attitude of humility among everyone at Hillsongs. For a large world-famous church and and well-known personalities, they are completely onboard with the knowledge and belief that it's not about them.

Ditto that...I taught a month-long worship institute in Ghana a couple of years ago, and Hillsongs tunes were constantly on their "playlists." I will say that hearing the Hillsongs tunes with a few dozen djembes, and without the "production" elements of their CD's, was really, really cool.

I just heard that Passion will be Atlanta January 1-4, 2007. It'll be a single event in dual facilities. One group at Phillips Arena and one at the Georgia World Congress Center (I think that GWCC is where the second part will be anyway...my source was iffy on that). This should be a great gathering!
