I need a hotel / inn / B&B for two couples, for one night (Friday) pre-cruise in St Thomas. Since we'll be arriving probably mid / late afternoon, and shipping out about the same time the following day, we don't really need anything on the beach - in fact, one of the reasons we want to be there the day before is to do some shopping in Charlotte Amalie before cruising, so even on Saturday morning the beach won't be the destination.

I'm considering Hotel 1829, Crystal Palace and Mafolie Hotel. Does anyone have any experience with these hotels, or perhaps any others I should consider?
