The Singapore Tourism Board is giving away vouchers for free chili crab at participating restaurants as well as some food stalls in Newton Food Centre. You can also get $5 off a jug of Tiger at a smaller number of restaurants on the chili crab list. We used our vouchers at Jumbo Seafood at 20 Upper Circular Road near Clarke Quay. Each voucher is good for one chili crab dish. One of the managers "suggested" that it was limited to one dish per group. Though when I pressed him, he acknowledged that it was one dish per voucher but many people could finish two dishes. We did, as well as a jug of Tiger (you could only use one Tiger coupon). We thought the crab was yummy but can't compare as we didn't try any other restaurants.

We took up that promotion last July as well. Chili crab- delicious but can anyone eat it without getting absolutely "clarted"( an Aberdonian expression for messy). No wonder they put plastic tableclothes on when you order it!!
