I fly EWR-SFO very often and I tend to choose UA so I can get E+ and fly non-stop rather than do the upgrade dance and have to connect in PIT, LAS, CLT, or PHX.
I used to be able to book the US codeshare-UA metal on usairways.com but now it doesn't show up. The codeshare still exists - I can book it on Expedia.
Was US losing too much money by giving these alternatives to taking a connection on their own web site?
It's annoying (but what isn't about the new web site?) that they aren't there.
Also, of the 6 tickets I've purchased since June 1, I have attempted to purchase every one on the web site, but only 1 was actually successfully booked. The other 5 were booked on Expedia because either the web site was throwing error after error, or would not show the flights I wanted.
