Hi all. As many of you have noticed Carson Wagonlit's tool appears to no longer be working. It seems that they have changed their backend at ITN.

We still have one tool that appears to be working ok for now, which is the T&T tool. You can find it at http://flyaow.com/class.htm

If you know of any other websites that happen to utilize the old ITN engine please let me know and we'll see if we can develop a front end tool to create a few more options.

It seems that many of the ITN hosted products are changing to different backends and I fear that the ITN based tools may become a thing of the past soon.

Cheers!

P.S. We just added a few more ITN based tools that work if you are flying specific airlines. They are all available at http://flyaow.com/class.htm

It is a random bunch of airlines, but we are looking for more, and would welcome your tips of other websites that utilize ITN to see if we can create a tool for them.

Cheers!

I've been using Travel & Transport's (www.tandt.com) tool. Go to Online Reservations & create an account in expert mode (similar to how you had to have it set up for the old Amex site) and it will pull ITN information.

I did use Carson Wagonlit's tool to price a pretty difficult routing with 8 legs that comes up in the ITN-Matrix.

Unfortunately the tool isn't working any longer as you said and now I cannot find any booking engine to price the trip as it was.

the tant one cannot handle multi-city trips (at least I cannot find it) :(

Does anyone know of any option on where it is possible to price and book a multi-city trip (8 legs) preferably with class availability?

Thanks in advance!

^ Great Job! Thanks a lot...

...one more thing. The tool doesn't come up with connections of less than 45 Minutes. The ITN-Matrix Software shows me a 44 Minute connection at PTY. Is there any way of bypassing this?

Routing:

dec. 26th
FOR – MAO 08:25am 11:35am (TAM, L)
MAO – PTY 04:03pm 06:30pm (COPA, Q)
PTY – MIA 07:14pm 10:04pm (COPA, Q) <<< that one doesn't show up

jan. 06th
MIA – PTY 06:50am 09:47am (COPA, Q)
PTY – GRU 11:15am 08:15pm (COPA, Q)
GRU - FOR 11:45pm 04:15am (TAM, L)

If I change the PTY - MIA leg to next morning it shows up perfectly, but the flight that evening definetely does exist!

Hi. You can try the T&T tool by increasing the number of flights to 20 and playing with the times for the various flights.

But I don't see the 4:03 pm flight from MAO-PTY on December 26th at all. (Even when doing a 1 way search) It seems that it runs on December 27th. Where did you see that flight for December 26th? I checked the ITA tool as well and it doesn't show it.

Thanks to flyaow to getting us some working tools. Anyone know if we can get KVS to work properly???Some Lite-tier methods of the KVS Tool were down for a few hours on Monday while I was fixing the Tool in light of the ITN changes, but it's all been resolved by the end of the day. Gold/Plat-tier members had uninterrupted access via alternative methods throughout that time.

Hi, maybe I'm stupid (or just a rookie), I'm not sure what this tool brings that Orbitz and cie don't?

Also, it tells you what kind of fare are available, but how do I choose to book, say, S instead of I?

Hi. Many flyertalkers like to know the availability of various fare bucket codes and have requested these types of tools. For my own personal use I tend to use the tools to find flights that are available in certain fare codes when I'm booking round the world or circle pacific travel. I'm sure many others have other unique uses too.

Thanks for pointing those out too! We just did a massive update on the list of airlines available via the T&T tool. Lots more coverage for some very specific airlines. :)

Keep the comments coming, we'll try to make things work as best as possible!

Also, if anyone knows of any other travel agencies that utilize the old ITN engine we can probably get some more front end tools to make things easier for folks.

flyaow, thanks for working on this and keeping some access to an ITN class-based itinerary checker alive! :)

I unfortunately don't know how long the various ITN based tools will survive as Getthere seems to be moving all of its clients to a new front end. :(

For now there are 7 different ITN tools that have various levels of functionality available at http://flyaow.com/class.htm The T&T is the last of the breed that handles all airlines though.

We recently discovered that the Air New Zealand tool also works for many United and US Airways flights, for whatever that is worth.

We've gone ahead and updated the links to the other various availability checkers and mileage run tools that we know of at http://flyaow.com/class.htm but would welcome any comments on others to add to that list as well.

Also, if anyone knows of any other multiple airline old ITN based webpages out there we should be able to work up a tool for those as well fairly quickly.

Cheers!

As feared, T&T has bit the dust.

Several of the other ITN tools are still available at http://flyaow.com/class.htm

If anyone knows of any other travel agencies that still use the old ITN engine we can try to get a tool back up and running.

Cheers!

If you're devoted, you can still construct the queries yourself:

https://www.itn.net/cgi/air?stamp=*itn%2Ford%3DNEWREC%2Citn%2Fcb%2Fp5tnt
&rt_ow=round+trip
&depart=xxx [origin]
&dest.0=yyy [destination]
&mon_abbr.0=Sep [outbound date]
&date.0=5
&hour_ampm.0=6+am
&mon_abbr.1=Sep [return date]
&date.1=11
&hour_ampm.1=11+pm
&airline=United [leave this out if no airline preference]
&air_sort=departure+time&air_class=coach+%28lowest+avail.%29&air_avail=100&air_sort=price+%28lowest+to+highest%29&skill=an+expert&return_to=air_avail

If the above doesn't make sense, an example (https://www.itn.net/cgi/air?stamp=*itn%2Ford%3DNEWREC%2Citn%2Fcb%2Fp5tnt&rt_ow=one%20way&depart=phl&dest.0=sfo&mon_abbr.0=Sep&date.0=5&hour_ampm.0=6+am&mon_abbr.1=Sep&date.1=1&hour_ampm.1=11+pm&airline=United&air_sort=departure+time&air_class=coach+%28lowest+avail.%29&air_avail=100&air_sort=price+%28lowest+to+highest%29&skill=an+expert&return_to=air_avail) might help.

Another way you can do it is to run your flight search on the T&T website, then add &skill=an+expert to the resulting ITN URL to enable the bucket view.

As far as I can tell, the ITN back end is working fine - not sure why AOW took down their page.
