Hi. Looking for assistance to get me to downtown Toronto, or better yet the Courtyard Marriott on Younge near College St. I've taken limos, taxis and the shuttle to downtown, but how hard is it to navigate to the GOTrain or the closest subway? I see there is a shuttle bus to the GO, but how long is it roughly to the GO train and then down to union station? thanks! I have done the bus/shuttle for about $15CDN, which is a good deal (compared to $50 taxi/car)... thanks!

The TTC Bus-Subway combo is your best bet for such a trip as the GO Train will only take you as close as Union Station.
Take the 192 Airport Rocket (Arrivals level from both terminals 2 & 3, Ground level from Terminal 1) to Kipling Station. Service is every 20 minutes or better for most of the day and takes 20 minutes to Kipling Station.
From Kipling, take the subway eastbound to Yonge Station, transfer to the Yonge-University line southbound 2 stops to College station.
The fare is $2.75, exact change as drivers do not carry change.

Whyyz offers great advice. And $2.75 is a deal! I would estimate that the subway trip, Kipling Station to College Station, in total, would take about 35 minutes. :)

I just did this trip last week. Took the TTC bus (waited about 5 minutes just outside the terminal) to Kipling Station to Queen Station. Entire trip from the time we boarded the bus was about an hour and 5 minutes on a weekday morning. For the return we took the airport shuttle from the Sheraton because it was a Sunday morning so we didn't know how frequently the busses would run.

Just an update and warning: if you plan to take the TTC from/to YYZ after noon on Saturdays and Sundays, note that service cutbacks have eliminated the Kipling Subway-YYZ runs on the 192 "ROCKET". These now appear to stop around 1p so there is no service to/from this west end Kipling subway station on weekend afternoons and evenings. Your only alternative by TTC is the 58 MALTON bus which takes about an hour to make its way from YYZ to the Lawrence West Subway station on the Spadina Line (connects with east-west Bloor/Danforth line at St. George or loops around to be come the Yonge line going north at Union Station.
Also note that the cash fare goes up to about $3 on November 1st for all TTC buses.

Where did you get this information from? They have laid out a list of possible service cuts and the 192 is not even considered.

It is clearly stated that service runs from 5:30am to 2:00am seven days a week. It would seem counter productive to me that they would cut a service that is quite busy.

The cash fare will not change. The increases only affect tickets/tokens and passes. Note also that the cash fare is less for students, seniors and children.
