Since when....check this out

Does this mean they are upgradable too?

The complete listing of the Terms and Conditions look that they are refering to the $ off travel voucher. IMO the transportation voucher still doesn't earn miles.

The new website has thrown up all sorts of anomalies, but no way would a free ticket be eligible for miles, ever.

However the link you posted shows that they're a bit vague about it..

A free roundtrip ticket does not earn miles, but can be upgraded under the GoFirst program (I have done it more than once.)

A transportation voucher is like "US Airways cash" that goes towards the purchase of a ticket and purchased ticket itineraries earn miles and are upgradeable as per the rules on the website

I know what the rules were....if you read the link - it suggests a change.

It has been my experience that free roundtrips vouchers and transportation vouchers with a monetary value assigned to them are different. I was just responding to the "summary" of the various posts based on personal experiences. Perhaps someone who redeems a free roundtrip voucher with the new US will be able to share his or her experiences here.

It reads like one should get miles, but US (East) has never offered miles for free, roundtrip ticket vouchers. They are issued like award tickets, in X class for domestic travel. Furthermore, if you go to this aforementioned web page and click on the "Terms and Conditions" link, all of the terms and conditions reference HP, not the new US, so I would wonder if this is just a section they have not updated yet.

I had a $300 voucher I used towards a $363 ticket to Vegas over Memorial Day weekend last year and I got miles for the WHOLE trip, on America West - now us airways. ^ ^

Free roundtrip vouchers = no miles
Monetary value vouchers = miles

Anyone had a different experience?

Yes I noticed that it stated:

Flight Fund Eligibility Yes

as Opposed to:

Dividend Miles Eligibility Yes
