I need to take care of business at the Air France counter at IAD. I want to park at the daily garage #2, which seems to be the closest parking to the side of the terminal where the airline is located. Does anyone know how far of a walk it is?

It's a 5-7 minute walk - if you time it well and are in and out quickly, parking is free for a stay of 20 minutes or less. I accomplished that once with a ticket change with UA, but only once.

Why not park in the short-term lot? It's $4/hr. at the short-term lot and $5/hr. at the daily lot. It'll only be cheaper at the daily lot if you go over 3 hrs.

The AF booth is not peopled most of the day. I don't know if you can find an AF person there at most hours. Call in advance, or do not show up until afternoon when AF activity starts. That is also the area rush hour.
