Hi all,

I am taking a trip through the New England states in July and was thinking about spending a night at the Homestead Inn in ConnecticutLink (www.homesteadinn.com) . Has anybody been there yet? I heard that the restaurant is excellent, but the tripadvisor reviews of the inn are incredibly bad, claiming that service is a disaster and rooms are dirty and old. But I rather put my trust in the collective wisdom of Flyertalkers, so any input would be greatly appreciated!

I can't answer your question, but I will say that my experience with tripadvisor is that if the reviews are bad, the property must be really bad; if the reviews are mixed, the property probably is bad; and if the reviews are good, the property might be good.
