I actually filled my tank last week at $1.85 per gallon here in Boston!

Care to share where? I've got a thirsty saab that could use some of that cheap gas.

I actually filled it in Medford at the Stop & Shop gas station on Riverside Ave.
Oh my God, I just realized that I put $1.85! It was actually $2.85. I can't get used to these ridiculous prices for gas. :D

I constantly make that same mistake! I think my brain just can not comprehend that gas could be more than 2.00 and I default to the dollar! Maybe my brain just knows it isn't right!
I live in NH and gas up here is 2.86 so I fill up before heading to Boston for the week.

I know what you mean!
I live south of Providence, and filled up (actually topped off) today for $2.86 - and bought $10.00. It didn't even get me 3.5 gallons! I remember when $10 bought a full tank!

I've been seeing a lot of $2.95-$2.99 here in North Andover/Haverhill...last week though, I was driving from Portland to Haverhill and realized I was running low on gas around Exit 32. I pulled off the Maine Turnpike, saw an Irving station, figuring I'm desperate and will put $20 in to hold me over...I see the price of $2.75 and was in awe...20 cents less than normal for me...too bad Kennebunk, ME is 70 minutes away from me...that was a good deal (considering).

And someone else would pump it, and check the oil, and wash the windshield!
Of course, that was back when we'd walk six miles to school each way, uphill both ways, through knee-deep snow...

I'm young, but not that young! I remember when gas was 25 cents, and during "gas wars", it went down to 19 cents! :D

I've found BostonGasPrices.com (http://www.bostongasprices.com/) to also be a pretty good resource for finding good gas prices. People seem to contribute current prices on a very regular basis. Prices have been on a significant decline here recently (everywhere else too, I guess) so I've been seeing low $2.60s, high $2.50s in my neck of the woods (http://www.bostongasprices.com/index.aspx?s=Y&fuel=A&area=Bedford&area=Billerica&area=Burlington&area=Nutting%20Lake&area=Wilmington&area=Woburn&tme_limit=48). ^
