Being a Chairman Preffered does that entitle me to having a fee waived if I had to cancel my ticket and get miles posted back to my account?

Not to be cynical, but has that been confirmed as part of the new Dividend Miles program?? :)

Yes. I posted the link to the page earlier. The $100 redeposit fee is waived for all Platinum and Chairman's Preferred members.

They generally actually do the redeposit, with availablility in your account as a CP, on the very day that they receive it in the mail if it is a paper ticket. It is one of very few US bright spots currently in terms of customer service and responsiveness.

I definitely agree with you on that one....

So how do you get your money back if they charged you for it?
I paid $75 to get some miles redeposited, in March.

Well try the CP desk, if not ask whoyou should call. Maybe the DMSC or Customer Relations.

Just got off the phone:
The $100 redeposit fee is NOT WAVIED FOR CPs or PLAT. Per CP Desk.
However, you can cancel the travel, leave the miles pulled and reuse them at a later date, and there is no fee to change the ticket.
So if someone can re-post where it states that this fee is wavied, please do so.

Call again. As already posted by planeluvr here is a link that shows CPs and Plats are exempt from the $100 redeposit fee.

What dukeman said.
My guess is that you didn't get the "real" CP desk that we've all come to know and love. I've gotten a few "suspect" personal liaisons in the last week... :(

Per CP Desk: New Program 5/21/2006, new rules.
the redeposit occured on 4/4/2006, under the old program.
So I missed the window. . . sort of silly, CP desk is not going to cut me any slack.
I do like the change in the program however

You were given WRONG info. I know b/c I have redeposited many awards under the OLD program (including US flights booked online, LH paper tickets, you name it) and have NEVER been charged a fee as CP.

Loo lazy . . . besides, I thought about it in retrospect
I was given some upgrades on some award travel during this period . . . so can I really get too upset about $75?
At first, I wanted to have them adhere to the letter of the program, but upon review they did (the old program), and I did get something that technically was not entitled to me as well. So in my book its all even.
