I have the $99 companion certs from BOA and Juniper.
My girlfriend also has one of each as well.
A few quick questions, if anyone knows pre and post new website.....
Can I earn miles as her companion with both or either of these?
Its not as important for her, since I'm the CP and she uses my status for upgrades and travel, etc... also 2x miles vs 1x
Do you STILL have to call the special Juniper number to book or is everything merged now?
Can you only use the Juniper for old America West flights?
Can you only use the BOA for old US flights?
Thanks!

I would go with the terms of your certificate. I don't believe the website merger (such as it is) changes anything. From what I recall, neither one allows for online booking. You still have to call the res number listed (or the CP line which has handled them for me in the past) and book that way. The last set of BofA certificates only allowed travel on US East flights, and not codeshares (save for US East Express carriers). Not having seen the newest BofA certs (if they're out yet) - I can't say if that's changed. The Juniper certs allowed travel on US East and West - so that should still be the same.

I used the Juniper $99 cert on Tuesday after the merged website and there was no difference between that and when I used it before the merged site. This time I did not have to take cert. to the airport they just booked it over the phone.

I just received the BofA cert. It appears travel is allowed on East and West; however, it is limited to the 48 states. The companion can upgrade based on the fare rules of the ticket. I also have the Juniper card and that cert seems to allow travel anywhere systemwide, but the ticket for the companion is not upgradable. I'll try to look at both certs later and report back.

Ok. Here is the info on both the BofA Visa cert and the MC(Juniper) cert. Very different rules....bolding is my emphasis.
BofA:
Ticketing -- Tickets must be purchased within 24 hours of reservation, at least 14 days before departure and by October 31, 2006. If the advance purchase requirement of the qualifying fare is more than 14 days, the more restrictive requirement applies. To redeem, call US Airways reservations or visit any US Airways Ticket Office. Tickets issued at US Airways Ticket Offices may be subject to an additional service charge. Prepaid tickets and online booking not permitted. Offer is limited to the purchase of up to two (2) roundtrip companion tickets per certificate. If more than one passenger, all must travel together in the same class and itinerary. Ticket(s) must be purchased with your US Airways Visa card and certificate must be surrendered prior to travel. Failure to provide the certificate to US Airways by the required deadline will result in cancellation of the entire reservation for all parties.
Valid Routing -- Travel must be via a valid route, originating in the contiguous U.S. to any destination served in the contiguous U.S. or Canada. Stopovers, open jaw/open returns, reissues, and itinerary changes are per applicable fare rules and may be subject to penalty fees and additional fare collections.
Other Important Restrictions -- A minimum two-night stay is required. Travel valid beginning June 1, 2006 and must be completed within 30 days of departure, by May 31, 2007 and by rules of the qualifying fare. In addition to the certificate rules outlined herein, all terms and conditions associated with travel on US Airways apply including those associated with fare class purchased. Rates are only applicable on qualifying tickets in certain fare classes in Coach. Consult US Airways Reservations for further details. Generaly standby restrictions of the qualifying fare apply. Lost, stolen, or destroyed certificates will not be replaced. Only this certificate is acceptable. Duplicate/altered certificates will be void. Certificate has not cash value and cannot be applied to one-way travel. Certificate cannot be brokered, bartered or sold. Schedules are subject to change.
Dividend Miles Accrual -- Travel is eligible for Dividend Miles; mileage accrual in other airline programs not permitted. Members are strongly encouraged to keep boarding passes and ticket receipts until proper credit has posted.
Valid Carrier -- Valid on flights operated by US Airways and US Airways Express carriers Chatauqua, Mesa, Piedmont, and PSA. Valid on US Airways codeshare flights operated by America West Airlines or America West Express. Not valid on other US Airways Express carriers including Colgan, Trans States and Air Midwest unless connecting to or from US Airways. Upgrades -- Upgrades are permitted subject to the rules of the upgrade being used.
Restricted Fares -- Seats available for certain fares are capacity controlled and may be limited/unavailable for certain flights or dates. Certificate cannot be used with any other certificate, promotion, Travel Voucher or fares with an eligibility requirement. Certificate cannot be used with previously purchased tickets.
Changes/Refunds -- Certificate has no residual value. Once ticketed, tickets become nonrefundable and certificate is considered redeemed. If the entire reservation is canceled on/before the scheduled date of travel, the ticket will retain value and can be used toward another nonrefundable ticket upon payment of a $100 US Airways administration fee, up to one year after its original issue date. New travel must be complete within one year from date of issue. Any subsequent changes to the exchange tickets will incur at minimum an additional $100 fee. Juniper MC Certificate
I'll post all the rules in a minute, but there is a discrepancy on the front v. back of the certificate. The front says continental U.S. but the back says system-wide. On the front it says:
Valid for roundtrip travel to any published route from any city served in the continental U.S. to any city served by US Airways and the US Airways Express carriers in the continental U.S. or Canada. Valid for up to two roundtrip tickets for companions booked in the same reservation as the Dividend Miles MasterCard cardholder listed on this certificate. 14-day advance purchase required. See additional terms and conditions on back.
Now for the rules on the back:
1. Terms and Conditions of the offer and cities serviced by US Airways are subject to change without notice. Offer may be modified or withdrawn at any time. Travel services are not guaranteed.
2. Travel is valid system-wide on US Airways and US Airways Express operated flights, including flights operated by America West or America West Express. Offer does not apply to any other codeshare flight, such as flights operated by United Airlines. Travel is eligible for Dividend Miles. Please refer to the front of certificate for expiration date.
3. Companion Certificate valid for use in Coach Class only. Companion traveler not eligible for First Class upgrade.
4. Lost, stolen, or destroyed certificates will not be replaced. Only this certificate is acceptable. Duplicate/altered certificates will be void. Certificate has no cash value. Certificate cannot be brokered, baretered, or sold. Certificate users will be required to submit the original certificate prior to travel. Failure to provide the certificate to US Airways by the required deadline will result in cancellation of the entire reservation for all parties.
5. All reservations require a 14-day advance purchase or as stated in the fare rules, whichever is earlier. A minimum two-night stay is required. Name changes are not permitted.
6. Blackout dates listed (I'm not going to post all of them).
7. The ticket must be purchased with the Dividend Miles MasterCard. This certificate is non-transferable. offer is for purchasing one round-trip ticket and receiving one or two addtional round-trip tickets for $99. Companion traveler(s) must have same itinerary in the same reservation as the Dividend Miles MasterCard cardholder as printed on the front of Companion Certificate.
8. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights. All fare restrictions must be satisfied. Stopovers, Open Jaw/Open Returns, reissues, and itinerary changes are per applicable fare rules and may be subject to penalty fees and any additional fare collections. Companion Tickets are non-refundable. This offer is not valid toward refund or reissue of previously purchased ticket(s).
9. Tickets may only be purchased through US Airways Reservations or US Airways Ticket Offices. Tickets issued in conjunction with this offer cannot be purchased through any travel agent, Tickets-At-Will Call, Prepaid Specialty Desk or online via the US Airways website. Additional ticketing fees apply.
10. May not be combined with any other certificate/coupon, promotional offer or discount.
11. All taxes, fees, airport and security surcharges, foreign departure taxes, customs and immigration fees, airport improvement, U.S. Security fees, and health inspection fees are additional and must be paid at the time of ticket issuance. Passenger facility charges of up to $18 per round-trip apply depending upon itinerary. An additional Federal Excise Tax of $3.20 per segment traveled will be payable. A segment is one take-off and landing. The September 11th Security Fee of up to $10 per itinerary will also be applicable. Taxes and fees outlined above cannot be added to meet the minimum fare requirements of this offer.

My one year anniversary for my US Airways Visa was last month. I have yet to receive the companion certificate or club pass.
Question for those of you who've had the card a while... does it normally take this long to get the anniversary certificate?

Wow! I'm surprised they relented. The cert also says no upgrades on the companion tickets.... I would assume that although you couldn't upgrade in advance you might be able to GoEnvoy......

Is this with the BofA or Juniper $99 Companion cert to FCO? I didn't know either one allowed transAtlantic journeys with these companion certs. Thanks

I don't have a Juniper card, but for the BofA card: It can be any 3 people on the same itinerary. HOWEVER - all tickets must be purchased using the same BofA credit card.

JuniperMC Card, I had to speak to the agent, then some empowered agent, then the call center sup, who sent me to Winston-Salem's call center director, I forgot her name but after 4 hours on the phone, I managed to get 3 of my missing segments back, become silver status, get comped for a lot of crap that happened such as losing my bag the last 2 times I flew US into PBI, 2 overnight stays at PIT both direction without hotel and it was their fault that I misconnected(equipment issues). Then the Director allowed me to purchase this ticket on the condition that the companion cannot be upgraded to Envoy at the time of purchase.
does anyone know if Silver Status gets an envoy upgrade in their kit?

Not anymore. Silvers & Golds used to get an Envoy + companion upgrade cert up until about 2 years ago. It was a great perk, and one that we lower-level elites would love to see reinstated (although I'm not holding my breath).

Took me 2 years and numerous calls, many false promises by BofA, and finally, after some angry calls I got them this spring. Used them recently, upgraded within window (received email) on only upgradable leg.
