Are they giving miles for people to update their info? Anybody know what the promo code is, or should I wait and not update until I get the promotion?

Or is the promo code used for something else?

I assume, but do not know for sure, that that new box is for marketing tie-ins. For example, read an ad in Budget Traveller suggesting that you sign up for DM. Then, enter a promo code and get 1,000 bonus miles or some similar ploy.

During the late fall they had a promotion for Phoenix travelers, with a promotion code.. new FF account and fly X number of flights from Phoenix.. bonus miles...

So I think it will be for future promotions...
