Hi how is this hotel for location to touristy things (like Hancock tower etc ) anyone been and know what its like?? are the rooms good? close to transport?? any info appreciated Thanks Gwen
Never been there, but if this is the location at 630 N. Rush, it's smack in the middle of everything. You're a block off Michigan Avenue. Hancock is 6 or so blocks north. Loop is 4 blocks south. The Grand stop on the Red line is about 3 blocks away. Tons of busses run on Michigan Ave. All in all, a good location.
Anything in particular you're looking to see?

There's a ton of shopping on Michigan Avenue. 480 stores or something. Good info here:

Not sure how much is cheap (I am not really a shopper), but a lot of options. Other stuff as well. The touristy areas of Chicago are not spread out all that much. Trains, busses, cabs, trolleys, walking, you'll have no problem.
King Tut is at the Field Museum.

Ironically, "Three Perfect Days" in Chicago featured in United Airlines' Hemispheres mag this month. You may want to take a look for some suggestions.
