In a couple weeks I'm heading down to DC and I need a good hotel recomendation. The only qualifications are, I need it to be cheap and I need it to be on the Metro lines, and I'd like it to be in a decent area of town. Additionally, if anyone has any suggestions about how to kill some time at night while being not-21 I'd appreciate the help! Thanks!

I'd check in bethesda, MD area, and the location on the west side of DC
Around Arlington, VA
close to DCA

Forgot to mention, I'm flying into DCA
Anywhere around DCA would be good, but I'm not familiar with the
meto system too well.. . I've always driven around.
In general the north, north west part of DC is also good.
Here is a metro Map.

Where are you going - in the District itself or Virginia? (or Maryland)

You should try Priceline and use betterbidding.com to narrow down which hotel you'll be getting; it also works for Hotwire. If you're looking for a cheaper premium brand hotel, the Ritz in Crystal City can get quite cheap (by Ritz standards, into the $150 range, if not a bit lower).
