Hello everyone-
I am looking for a RT to Lvov(lviv) Ukraine from NYC in the end of August - beginning of September for about a month long (want to bring my daughter to her grand parents).
I am looking for any suggestions (possible airline specials or best time to travel within my time frame).
What is a median price for this time for this kind of trip?
The best I found on Expedia was 960$RT, and for September only.
Thanks for your input!

If you are really looking to travel on a budget, you might want to consider a cheap transatlantic flight to London and then take the LCC Ryanair to Rzeszow in Poland which the airline is hoping to push as the "low-cost gateway to the west of Ukraine". Lviv/Lvov is a short(ish) train ride from Rzeszow.
Otherwise, you'll probably have to look at flights on Austrian, LOT or Ukraine International. Travel in August is always likely to cost more though as it is summer holiday season.
Lviv/Lvov and the rest of Ukraine are great though, you'll have a great visit!
Thanks bcmat, I also do not want to make more than 1 stop (difficult with infant), so I guess LOT is the only choice I have because they are the cheapest one so far for 960$RT. All others, Ukrainian airlines and Austrian air are just more expensive, over 1000$.
LOT is an OK airline and WAW is very straightforward to transit. I flew with them to KBP and ODS last year. They'll probably be your best bet. Enjoy your trip!
bcmatt, do you know when airlines publish special fares for September?
Should I wait a little, or it is better to buy ticket now?
Something tells me just to wait and see if during summer time some advance purchase specials for travel in September will show up.
Thanks again!

You may want to try ethnic travel agencies (Polish/Ukrainian) around NYC instead of booking online or with airline.
