So I've been checking out the ITN tools to see seat availability and determine upgrade paths. Looking for some input from those that have used these tools before.

I have been using the CWT ITN Tool (http://flyaow.com/classcwt.htm) to look at seat availability.

For a US flight I searched today, I got the following output:

F2 A0 P1 Y1 B0 M0 V0 Q0 H0 L0 W0 K0 S0 T0 N0

Now, when I check the US Airways Timeline for Upgrade Processing (http://www.usairways.com/dividendmiles/programinfo/eupgrades.htm) it lists no A or P as the ITN shows. I know that F is first, but the US site lists a U, and I don't see that on the ITN output. Is there a translation here I am missing?

Under which booking class are Dividend Miles tickets usually booked? This tool is great!

Thanks.

to get a better understanding you might want to search on "bucket" (e.g. by phlwookie) or "fare classes" (e.g. by sally4th). the short version is ITN doesn't show you all the buckets; e.g. those 7/3/1 window upgrades come from an E bucket, domestic awards from X. P represents the bucket that allows a high class coach fare (e.g. Y) to upgrade at booking. A is a fare that also allows entry into first for paid coach.
