What's the opinion of this establishment and where is the best seating? Major business deal in the works and need to knock the socks off the client.

I haven't eaten here, but I work in downtown Detroit and know many people who have been there - including my parents. "The word" is that it's a step up from other "room with a view" restauarants, but not the best. My sister and her fiance got engaged there at Christmas time and had a wonderful dinner, complete with the engagement ring tucked in the dessert :D Best view would be along the windows facing Windsor. You might get more responses if you post this in the Midwest forum - there are a bunch of Detroiters who check in there.

I wouldn't consider eating there myself, as the place is just a steak house.

However, Coach Insigna was part the term used for Body by Fisher on GM cars. Mr Fisher still lives, as does his wife, Ms Lamb. they produce some very fine wines in CA.

Certainly if I ever got sucked into eating there, I would have a bottle of Fisher Coach Insigna(cab or chard), and if I had an unlimited budget, a bottle of Fischer Lamb(Wife's family vineyard). These wines are very expensive, and will probably pull $200+ in a restaurant(that's each)

Like Candace, I have not eaten there but have only heard mixed reviews of Coach Insignia. If you want a top notch place downtown, check out Opus One.
