nice and bumpy on the Dash 8's .....can be like a roller coaster at times, which can be fun!! I used to fly this route often a few years ago. ISP is very very easy to check in at. Art......could give you all the details since he lives there.

ISP is my home airport. The agents are excellent, and there usually isn't much of a line for checkin or security since Greyhound Air opened their new wing.

The Dash 8's are a little noisy but comfortable, the ride usually takes about 1 hour 5 minutes or so, depending on routing.

They just started with 2 CRJ's per day between ISP and PHL, rather than all Dash's, although this month the frequency is down from 6 to 5 r/t per day.

Let me know how it goes..

Sadly enough, I'm torn about the CRJ's. At first glance, I'd be happy, but then again, I really don't like those planes. The Dash's are slower, but doesn't really matter for such a short flight.

If you can, grab a window seat if you're flying during daylight. Usually have a really neat view approaching and leaving Long Island over the Great South Bay.

What Art said, except that ISP is not my home airport.

There is very little to do at ISP in the US/DL/CO terminal. I have no idea what the WN terminal is like. ;) Last time I was there, there wasn't even a working TV at the bar. You may want to bring something to read/watch if you are going to be airside for any length of time, especially if there's some kind of delay.
