Most of the examples that come to mind are less than $100 because they are free.
1. One is staring us in the face. FREQUENT FLYER MILES!! Cash in a boatload of frequent flyer miles for an unrestricted biz fare. Some will say this costs more than $100, but I'm sure there are others who could score 100,000+ FF miles without spending a dime.
2. Airline comps. I once had a case where I was denied boarding, and was giving a voucher for a complimentary space available biz RT within the next year. Once in a lifetime, but nevertheless, it does happen.
3. Group fares, especially for the tour coordinator. Book 10 people at a discounted group rate, and the group leader goes for free. Happens all the time.
4. UAL recently have a promotion "fly X times, get a Biz/1st flight whereever we fly"
5. Then there is the standard Amex Plat / Ameniti scam "buy one full fare, GET ONE FREE" special? From the perspective of GET ONE FREE, that is an unrestricted tix for less than $100!
I think gldwebs was looking for standalone fares that were publicly available...

Because a PNR stores everything you can always pull the original fare rules at the time of ticketing. For instance. If you buy a non refundable ticket and then not use it and use that ticket to buy a refundable ticket. It would never be refundable because the orginal fare rules would still prevail.
Given a still valid ticket, how do airline/travel agency reps pull up the fare rules if the PNR goes stale/expires and is no longer readily accessible by the airline/travel agency reps? Can the airline rep pull up the fare rules by ticket number?

Yes it's by the ticket number. It takes a bit of work. But it can be done.

Is there a better chance that the original fare rules -- meaning the fare rules at time of original ticketing -- will be pulled up by ticket number (than say by PNR)?
I am hoping -- wishful thinking as it may be??? -- that a looking up of the fare rules by ticket number would increase the likelihood that the original ticket fare rules would be honored.

Frustrated that so many other CT customers are getting their tickets taken care of, but not me, I called again...Spoke with Alitalia: Told me CT must reinstate. Called CT: Told me it's an Alitalia problem, and they must reinstate.
Asked Jessie (great csr, BTW) to call Alitalia and get the ball rolling. On hold a while longer, and was told the Alitalia desk they needed to speak to was not back until Monday. She noted I am FINE....especially since I have been told three times this is a valid ticket and will be "reinstated" with no problems. She gave me the tracking numbers for the original tickets, which show as follows (read bottom up):

For those who have tickets coming via UPS, and have some "bs" type stuff on the tracking information, ie RECEIVER STATED THEY DID NOT ORDER AND REFUSED THIS DELIVERY, LOCATION VACANT, etc... More than likely your "tickets" are still at the local UPS office. Call them up, ask where you can pickup, or if they can be delivered again. This happened to me, called, and talked to a very nice CS agent who told me, "No problem. Where would you like us to delivery this?" Expecting my tickets (2nd delivery) at the workplace now, so someone is there to get them. YMMV

There are several if you read back in this thread. And of this several, many who were booked after me both in the time of booking and the dates of travel. I simply grew weary of waiting for an answer so decided to call back...better to 'keep on them' IMHO and get yet another confirmation than do nothing.

Can I ask you all of you a question, please... As being a newbie to this, on Wednesday morning I ran across a $190 fare to Cyprus thanks to FlyerTalk. I booked my ticket at about at about 12:30 AM PST, and got the following info from cheaptickets, at 12:45 AM PST:
Passenger(s): Mr. North.by.Northwest
Air Canada record locator: XXXXXX
American Airlines record locator: XXXXXX
Alitalia record locator: XXXXXX
Ticket type requested: paper
CheapTickets record locator: XXXXXXXXXX
Airline ticket number(s): 055XXXXXXXXX
When people say ticket number(s), should I have more than one?
When I look up the reservation in Air Canada, the entire literary is listed, but says “un-ticketed”
When I look it up at AA.com, entire literary, that says “ticketed”
Look up at CT and only YYZ-EWR & BOS-YYZ are listed
I selected 2 day UPS and no tracking numbers have been provided
Basically where do I go from here, do I try to call, email, or just sit tight?
As being a student, going to Cyprus for under $200, has rocked my world, thinking about how much I can see and learn; I just hope it all works out...
Any help would be much appreciated
Thank you

Just another update in case anyone else has similar experience.
History (Purchase from CT):
Have paper tix in hand.
Reservation cancelled both in CT website and on viewtrip. Full payment taken.
Phone call to CT (in Manila) proved fruitless - strongly urged by CT to accept refund. LapLap believes no point contacting CT again until AZ offices open.
Update is:
Record can no longer be viewed on viewtrip.com with PNR on tix. (this was possible 12 hours ago)
no email or other correspondence received.

Again, I would not expect these tickets to show 'ticketed' at AC.com. I have a paper ticket in front of me for travel later this week (booked by an agency). The ticket is paid for and good-to-go, but when I enter the confirmation number online, the itinerary pulls up and shows as 'unticketed'. This, of course, is an error.
I don't think that the AC site is sophisticated enough to 'switch' status when paper (as opposed to electronic) tickets are issued.

questions by North.by.Northwest
When people say ticket number(s), should I have more than one?
I initially thought we had 1 ticket no per person - scanning down the reservation later I realised we had two each. Paper tickets show 1 ticket number for YYZ-MXP-LCA and 20 days later: LCA-FCO-MXP and another ticket number for MXP-YYZ for each of us
When I look up the reservation in Air Canada, the entire literary is listed, but says “un-ticketed”
I currently have a separate confirmed reservation booked using miles with my FFP from LHR-YYZ with AC. When looking up the reservation in AC it also says "un-ticketed". I'd ignore this as it obviously isn't accurate.
I selected 2 day UPS and no tracking numbers have been provided
Other people have received their tix and never got tracking numbers. You may want to contact your local UPS depot - or email your TA and request this number.
Basically where do I go from here, do I try to call, email, or just sit tight?
Tracking number you should be able to request immediately - as for the rest. Consenses seems to be that nothing much will get done until AZ open their offices on Monday.
You never mentioned who you booked through. My guess is Orbitz. Is that right?

One ticket number can only handle up to four segments.
The paper tickets only have room for four segments to be listed on the paper itself, so the fifth segment 'forced' the use of a second document (think of the old carbon tickets).
Were you to be travelling on a nine-segment itin, you'd have three ticket numbers etc. In these cases, ticket numbers are issued in a sequential fashion (ie 055XXXXXXX12-13).
I'm not sure if this is also the case for electronic tickets, but I believe it is.

Do the paper tickets come with a list of the fare rules? Or the fare rule code printed on them? I don't recall if I've ever had a paper ticket before
You're either under 20 years old, or have never been outside of North America. ;) Despite IATA's best efforts to eliminate them in favour of e-tickets, the industry is not quite there.

I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere before, but has anyone actually been told about this new rules "officially." I think that if the rules have indeed been changed unilaterally (let's put the question of whether AZ can legally do this or not aside), the burden is on AZ or the travel agents to at least notify the customers.
I for one have never been contacted once by AZ nor by Orbitz, not even for the cancellation (but I know my reservations were cancelled from my itinerary in aa.com) and subsequent reinstatement, and certainly not for the rule change. Since there has been no such commmunication, I wouldn't bother to even look at the rules again until such time when I need to do the changes that I know I can make under the rules I agreed to.
From contract law, this would be an example of an attempt to renegotiate the contract.
If one party doesn't like the contract, they can offer to amend the contract but the other party is free to refuse or counter-offer some form of consideration.
However, the second party can still refuse the renegotiation and demand the contract be fulfilled as originally written.

A lot of people are upset because they can not change their dates as the ORIGINAL rules stated - because once the mistake was discovered - and tickets accepted to be used - they changed the rules to NO changes permitted. (WHat a sentence).
So whats the differnce in the Sheraton in Portland, Maine ($19 rooms) changing their initial rooms to new rules (No changes whatsoever).
I realize one is a hotel and one is an airline. But as a lucky person who got a ticket - I am not belly aching. I would like to extend my trip too BUT I am changing my plans to what the confirmed ticket says. Better a ticket than not.

Alitalia Accidentally Offers
Airfare to Cyprus for $33
By EVAN PEREZ
April 7, 2006 12:08 a.m.
For a few hours on Wednesday, the hottest ticket in travel was to Larnaca, Cyprus.
Italian carrier Alitalia accidentally was offering a $33 business-class airfare from Toronto via Italy to the picturesque, but perhaps off-the-beaten-path, resort town of 72,000. The regular business fare on that route is $2,588.
The fare was posted in the morning hours Wednesday in Canadian dollars. Apparently a worker forgot to enter in the two zeros, an Alitalia spokeswoman said.
Word of the fare spread quickly via the Internet travel site Flyertalk.com and passed on by travel bloggers, prompting hundreds of travelers to jump on the deal. Then travel Web sites such as Orbitz.com caught on and alerted company officials.
Alitalia said it initially suspended all the bookings while it tried to determine how much damage had been done. A spokeswoman declined to say how many bookings were made.
But Alitalia decided it would honor 509 of the bookings that were purchased and ticketed before it suspended reservations. Those who booked reservations but whose tickets hadn't yet been issued are out of luck. "It was a human mistake," Alitalia's spokeswoman said. "We hope that people will appreciate the effort we are making."
At $2,588, the financially struggling airline would have received about $1.32 million in revenue for the 509 tickets, compared with the $16,797 it would receive at the $33 fare. The airline declined to comment on those figures.
Vinod Ponnusamy, of Seattle, was one of those who quickly booked tickets to Larnaca for him and his girlfriend in September, never mind that he had no clue what they would do there. "It's definitely not a place I had ever considered going," he said. Mr. Ponnusamy is expecting delivery of his tickets today and hasn't received a cancellation notice.
After doing some research and finding out about the 1974 Turkish invasion of part of Cyprus, he noted, "I didn't realize all the Greek-Turkish division going on there. But it should be fun."
Brian Hoyt, a spokesman for Orbitz.com, which operates the Cheaptickets site, said the company was refunding ticketing fees to customers who had booked and whose reservations were canceled.
Such pricing mistakes aren't unheard of, though travel companies respond to the errors in a variety of ways. Last year now-defunct carrier Independence Air sold dozens of tickets accidentally for $0, and Sabre Holdings Corp.'s Travelocity mistakenly sold tickets to Fiji for $51.

Well I, for one, would like to extend my June ticket for a few more days in Milan on the return.. instead of the 22 hours or whatever I have set currently. It will certainly be interesting to see if people can get Alitalia to honor their original fare rules!
Why do people keep thinking that "unlimited stopovers" in the original rules meant one could add stopovers after ticketing? Even if Alitalia honors the original rules, there's a good chance one will not be able to add stopovers without a reprice.

One can add stopovers that weren't already there as long as one does not change the original routing. This is an example of date changes (which are penalty-free) as opposed to a routing change (which does indeed trigger a reprice).

Bingo. Say you were flying YYZ-MXP-LCA. The original fare rules would let you fly YYZ-MXP, stopover, then fly MXP-LCA. No reprice would have been necessary. No reticketing would have been necessary. You'd just be using the original flight coupons in order.

If they are claiming that this is a promotional fare, then why did they cancel tickets without ticket numbers? Surely they should honor them then? If it isn't a promotional fare then how can they get away with changing fare rules?
THey seemed to be backed into a lose-lose siution with this argument. Does anyone disagree?

I thought that adding stopovers might (depending on the agent you get) add some taxes to your ticket and force a reprice. Your ticket would certainly be different with a stopover than without one (the O would change to an X).

If the stopover adds additional taxes relative to a connection, then there could be an add-collect for those taxes. But no re-fare would be required as the existing (base) fare allows for stopovers.
Airlines publish fares and taxes are added to those as required.
In the example above, fare would remain the same and some additional taxes might have to be paid.

I haven't been able to see anything on CT since Thursday morning, when the site said "cancelled" but the itin was still visible. By Thurs pm (and since) it just says "you have no trips scheduled." I couldn't view it on viewtrip either. No calls or emails to me from either CT nor AZ. And I, too, have paper tix, so I think I am in the same spot you are. I've not yet made any calls or contacts -- I just keep looking at the paper tix & trusting all will be well when AZ opens.

When I first called Orbitz a few days to get a tracking number for my tickets, the agent kept saying "surely you know that it costs more than $33 to travel overseas". I had lots of fun pointing out several of the other 'discounted fares' that we've come across here on FT.
Even though she kept putting me on hold, I guess it was worth it, as the initial Orbitz confirmation that the fares would be honored came through while I was speaking to the supervisor. I guess if I had gotten of the phone sooner I wouldn't have known....

We used to get a particular AZ agent in Sicily who would tell us "you know we don't sell business class seats for such a price" and would refuse to do changes on the supercheap AZ DEL-LHR biz tickets. Of course, we'd just call later and deal with the other reps and AZ supervisors who wouldn't even bring up the price matter. Clearly AZ does sell business class seats for "such a price" (or even less) hundreds of times each year for the last two years. :D

I haven't been able to see anything on CT since Thursday morning, when the site said "cancelled" but the itin was still visible. By Thurs pm (and since) it just says "you have no trips scheduled."

I thought I had head about doing this, though I wasn't sure I would be allowed to keep 2 passports. Any links to how to do this? I've been looking around the state dept's webpage with no luck.
I also have dual citizenship with the US and Israel, so I could always use an Israeli passport (which I've never bothered to get) exclusively for travel to Israel. Wouldn't want to be caught in a place like Syria with that though....

I finally broke down and called Orbitz. We booked online Wednesday around 10:30 am central time. We got an email with the ticket numbers at noon. (NB: Norton decided it was Spam, so we had a few anxious hours until my husband discovered it in the Spam folder). Our trip is for Feb 2007.
We having been watching events unfold on this forum, many thanks to all of those who have contributed. Our trip kept showing up on Orbitz under cancelled trips, and since we were gone most of yesterday I wasn't sure if UPS had attempted delivery or not.
I got through on Orbitz fairly quickly and asked for my tracking number. The extremely nice CSR provided it immediately, also advised that the tickets should arrive Tuesday, and tried to call AZ for me to get seat assignments switched. (The ones we have have us apart on the AZ legs).
She was unable to get through to AZ, offered to call them again for me later. I declined although that was very nice of her and said I would do it.
So I guess we are set. Is there anyway to get advance seat assignments for the CY legs? Am I correct that we can get mileage credited on NW for the Az legs?
I am looking forward to the first trip reports from those who are doing this earlier than we are. And much thanks to Aviationkiwi who has been helping me a ton with this!

The AZ-operated flights can get credited to NW without issue. The CY-operated, AZ-coded flights won't as far as I know. That's why some of us are going to use AZ's program since each ticket for YYZ-LCA-YYZ will yield at least 25,000 AZ miles. Two of these and a US-based AZ frequent flyer will be SkyTeam ElitePlus with lounge access whenever flying DL, NW, CO, or the other SkyTeam carriers.

Mileage calculation for credit with AZ MilleMiglia*:
YYZ-MXP 4139 miles
MXP-LCA 1477 miles
LCA-MXP 1477 miles
MXP-YYZ 4139 miles
Total: 11.232 miles flown // Credit in paid Business Class: 22.464 miles
Mileage calculation for credit with most other Skyteam programs*:
YYZ-MXP 4139 miles
MXP-LCA not qualifying
LCA-MXP not qualifying
MXP-YYZ 4139 miles
Total: 8278 miles flown // Credit in paid Business Class: 12.417 miles
* not including any additional elite or promotional bonuses
Hence, with longer stopovers in between, I will credit my long-haul flights to DL Skymiles or AF/KL Flying Blue - and the segments to/from LCA to my AZ MilleMiglia account, since I get an additional 100% mileage bonus if crediting to Skymiles or Flying Blue.

Oy, who knows whats going on at AZ. Just called Palermo for seat assignments and to inquire regarding date changes (not routing changes). First she said my ticket was cancelled and not yet reinstated. I told her I called both Travelocity and AZ before .. and they both said it had already been reinstated. She said it had not been, and that another dept would be reinstating this coming week manually. Then I asked whether I would be permitted date changes, and she said that since D class generally allows these changes, she imagined it would be fine... but couldn't confirm it since the ticket was not yet reinstated. Oy.

And a transatlantic business class ticket is only 80,000 miles vs. 100,000 using CO/NW miles.
For those in the CO/NW upgrade world...looks like RT transatlantic upgrades are 25K each way, but with slightly less restrictive fare categories: Y, B, H, and M. No copay.
So, for every 2 of these specials you fly, you get a roundtrip upgrade for a future flight.

I thought that adding stopovers might (depending on the agent you get) add some taxes to your ticket and force a reprice. Your ticket would certainly be different with a stopover than without one (the O would change to an X).
This is definitely true since I have two tickets, one with a stopover and one without and the total taxes are different.

You're closer to correct than my prior number for most people. (I was calculating my stuff based on segments beyond just the YYZ-MXP-LCA-MXP-YYZ -- including FCO segments -- and being Ulisse part way through the second ticketed itinerary which would put me over an average of 25k miles.)
25,000 elite qualifying miles in AZ's program = 25% elite bonus
50,000 elite qualifying miles in AZ's program = 50% elite bonus
The thing that really helps here is the 100% COS of bonus (vs. 50% for most US programs).

No that is not a stopover. The easy way to tell is look at your ticket coupons. An X on the flight ticket coupon and/or ticket receipt = connection. An O (or nothing) = stopover. :)

I'd wait until your tickets arrive. Furthermore, my experience of trying to add a stopover on AZ ticketed itineraries before departure has lead the airline/travel agency rep trying to re-price.
You can tell an agent that you want to do a change but if it causes a repricing then you are not interested. I've often aborted changing a ticket when talk of a repricing came up.

I'll do a change at some point, but it will be date changes not an additional stopover (although it may equate with making a stopover into a connection). I am just waiting for a firm word from the online travel agencies -- especially Orbitz (once my tickets from them arrive) -- and/or Alitalia. And once they say something one way or another, I'll get a change -- regardless of what the travel agency or AZ says this coming week. :o

Wonder what I can get on AZ miles that I can actually use, without having to lose much on the "premium".

Israel knows this and puts your visa on a separate paper then collects it when you leave the country. I have done it in the past. No problem visiting both Egypt and Israel. It is done all the time.
They do not do this unless you ask, and be very nice and explain why you want them to do it. They are not required to do it and if you are at all dismissive they will stamp your passport anyway. (I have seen it happen) :p
Also you are right there are direct flights from Israel to Egypt, so that is not an issue. Syria, Lebanon, Saudi, Malaysia and a bunch of others however can deny you entry if you even have a receipt in Hebrew or an Israeli guidebook. Quite silly if you ask me.

If you credit to AZ MilleMiglia you will get over 22k miles because you'll get double miles on all segments included all the segments operated by CY(MXP-LCA-MXP or FCO-LCA-FCO).
Can you point me to the AZ rules that say this? All I can find on their web site is that double points are earned on "a full fare ticket in Y or B class".

Have you successfully added a stopover before departure on AZ that didn't trigger a reprice?

I'd fly to Italy with my onward boarding pass and once I arrived at MXP I'd go to the lounge and ask them to change my date of travel since something came up and I would like to either continue the next day or a few days later. I always got that connection changed into a stopover. (This was for my DEL-MXP-LHR and DEL-MXP-FCO-LHR AZ "promotional" supercheapo biz tickets.)
At other times: after I had flown the outbound, I would call up AZ and have them make my connection into a stopover (or make a stopover into a connection). Sometimes AZ would mention an add-collect of taxes, sometimes AZ would not even mention it. The only time I had real issues was if I no-showed and got a hold of some AZ agent who was interpreting the rules differently than I was. And for that there was the "thank you, I'll have to think about this" and then the later call. :D

I just called AZ to check seat assignments, and they said it's to early (seat map is not available) and that I should call in June, our flight is on September 28. That's strange because my original Orbitz reservation (before cancellation and resinstatement) had seat assignments.
Strange. My trip is in early September (over labor day), and I was able to get a seat assignment. Try a different agent, maybe the first one didn't feel like being helpful (or maybe seat maps are only for flights within the next 5 months, a timeframe which you're just out of (for a few more weeks?)

What will most likely happen is should you decide to make a change to your ticket, the agent will ask you for your issue date and fare basis code printed on your ticket. If they are unfamiliar with those rules, they will then pull up a historical fare quote to read the rules that were in effect on the day your ticket was issued. They will use those rules to determine what you are eligible for in terms of changes.
I just did a historical FQ in Worldspan and saw that there were two fares listed for the DRTCA9 fare basis, one for $39, and another for $3900. That may raise some red flags for an agent, but given the fact that the fare basis clearly indicates a business class fare, the agent may simply permit changes they would ordinarily assume to be legitimate for a business class fare (e.g. free revalidations, refunds, and adding stopovers to existing routings without requiring a reissue).
The fare rules are not kept anywhere by ticket number. Historical fares data is retained in the GDS for I believe up to 2 years, and are accessed based on ticketing and travel dates alone.
In this case, the only rules available to an agent for reference would be the ones in effect at the time of ticketing. I do not believe there is any ability for the airline to go back and adjust the historical fare rules after the fact.

What are the fare rules for after 4/5?
This is the question, do we necessarily know they were issued on 4/5 or thereafter?
An important distinction to note is that the fare rules didn't change, but rather one fare was pulled (the $39.00 DRTCA9 fare), and another was loaded (the $3900.00 DRTCA9 fare).
Both fares had the same rules since the airline made an error on the base fare amount. Hence, the $39.00 fare would have only appeared in the system on 4/5/06. Anything after the mid-afternoon fare load (or whenever this was pulled), would have shown the correct fare with the same fare rules & fare basis code. In fact, the DRTCA9 fare that is currently loaded appears to have the same fare rules as the infamous one from last week except for one difference.....$3861.00. :)
And I'm not sure whether you're referring to tickets or fares with your question about issuance, but your ticket once issued locks in the fare. This could be why Alitalia probably felt some pressure to honor those tickets that were already issued. Generally speaking...Once issued, your ticket is a contract whose terms are determined by the fare rules in effect at time of issuance. That's why the historical fare quote is essential for any questions about modifying your existing ticket.
But until that ticket gets issued, the airline has absolutely no obligation to honor anything at all. Any further decisions to honor fares after they've expired is purely at the airlines' discretion.

SOUTHLAKE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 10, 2006--Sabre Airline Solutions, the leading provider of software and services to the airline industry from planning to execution, has signed deals worth US$2.5 million with Alitalia. The Italian flag carrier will use the airline technology provider's revenue integrity products, as well as its consulting team, to stem millions of dollars of revenue leakage each year. Alitalia will use two components of the SabreSonic Passenger Solutions suite to cut down on revenue leakage. The Sabre SmartFlow tool kit will enable the airline quickly to create robotic processes that interface with global distribution systems (GDSs), airline host systems, databases, e-mail servers and Web services. Examples of usage include revenue integrity processing, waitlist management, disruption management notification and down-line segment cancellation.
The second component, Sabre GDS Analysis, gives Alitalia the ability to evaluate fares and availability data on each GDS to ensure these reflect accurately the actual fares in its reservation system. This will eliminate unnecessary credit memos and help address traveler and travel agency dissatisfaction caused by inaccurate pricing.
Sabre GDS Analysis will also allow Alitalia to monitor how it is ranked against other airlines on different GDS displays and harvest route-based market intelligence about competitor fares and availability. The product will provide the information Alitalia needs to improve its GDS display ranking, such as schedule or fare changes.
Consultants from Sabre Airline Solutions will work closely with Alitalia staff for the first few months of operation, providing support, advice and guidance.
"Combined with the hands-on consulting expertise that Sabre Airline Solutions was able to offer, we're confident that these products will help stem revenue leakage," said Gianni Matassa, Alitalia's director of revenue management and distribution. "This is a classic example of the way the wider Sabre business is adding value to its relationship with us -- over and above the traditional distribution function."
Matassa said Sabre AirMax Revenue Manager would deliver increased productivity, better forecasts and better overall revenue management.
Murray Smyth, Sabre Airline Solutions' senior vice-president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said the products to stem revenue leakage had already achieved proven results for both British Airways and Air Canada.
"The clincher for Alitalia, however, was when we were able to run real data from the airline through the tools, and show them the results," he said.
Smyth said Sabre Airline Solutions was in talks with Alitalia about the use of other products that would help the airline market and schedule its inventory for maximum profit, sell its products, serve its customers and operate more efficiently from planning to execution on a day-to-day basis.
About Sabre Airline Solutions

The second component, Sabre GDS Analysis, gives Alitalia the ability to evaluate fares and availability data on each GDS to ensure these reflect accurately the actual fares in its reservation system. This will eliminate unnecessary credit memos and help address traveler and travel agency dissatisfaction caused by inaccurate pricing.
Well the YYZ-LCA CAD33 fare was also reflected in Alitalia's reservation system so I don't know how this component would help AZ.

An earlier post, or maybe it was a seperate thread somewhere, discussed how members of Sabre system agree that obvious pricing mistakes, even where the systems are automated and no human is there to view the fare, are not binding on the airline.
If so, had AZ been a part of Sabre, then Orbitz would have had no bargaining position.

Any guesses about how many "I just got my tickets" posts will appear in this thread tomorrow? Right now, I'll put the over/under at 37.
Well, the upper boundry would be 507, if we believe the press :D

Press? I just love it when they quote anyone. I also liked it yesterday where they had a picture of a 4 engine'd bubbletop quoted as an "Airbus" which had engine problems instead of the actual plane a 2 screw airbus".

I don't think you can, unless you booked it with CT.

let's hope other airlines don't take a cue from AZ...Although I must say, at least they are doing SOMETHING about it.
