Can someone recommend a car service in DC, need transfers from IAD to downtown washington and a car for a few hours to shuttle us about the next day.There will be 4 of us with just carry-on luggage.

Red Top Sedan is basic TownCar / Sedan service. I use them to/fro airport. Not sure what there rates are like for sit-and-wait service.

I've used Sunny's a couple of times with mixed results. Once during a snow storm, they sent what was obviously someone's personal (red) Lincoln Navigator, complete with fuzzy dice hanging from the rearview mirror.

Red Top Sedan (affiliated with Red Top taxis but actually with sedans/town cars) is what I've used most. I've been rather satisfied with them too and find them more reliable than all of the large car service companies in New York.

I have used Washington Executive Car, 202-244-4606 with good results before. Not the cheapest but always on time and great service.
