I just came across this HAS Advantage Visa (http://www.hasadvantage.com/rewards-el-al-airlines.html) card which gives 1 Advantage point for every dollar spent and supports up to five charities of your choice from their list of 40. 60 HAS Advantage points = 1 Matmid point. It's nothing spectacular, but what are the other options for comparison? American Express Membership Rewards (http://www.membershiprewards.com/ProductDetail.aspx?clgid=1&catid=103&aid=55332) shows 2,100 MR points = 15 Matmid points (140:1). WebFlyer Mileage Converter shows 1,050 = 15 (70:1), so the first link must be MR Options? I do not see El-Al among Starwood partners. If you have Diners you get a slightly better 50:1 ratio, but then you must pay their annual fee. Sure, you may be better off redeaming Delta or Continental miles for El-Al flights, but then you are subject to much more stringent capacity controls...

Yes, 70:1 on the Amex Plat.

The HAS card is now offering 1 Matmid for $40, which is a pretty good deal.
OW upgrade is then 28k in spending, C is 120k and F is 200k.

Yes you can get Matmid points with AMX card. My cousin got a lot of free trips that way on LY.

Guys, there is already a thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=541103) on this.
You might find the info there. :)

No, that one is about Israeli credit cards. HAS is issued by US Bank (no, really).

The travelocity mastercard is another option. You can get a ticket with ELAL for around 45000-60000 points ($1 = 1 point). ie for this passover period you can still find a ticket for around $1200, which will be 60000 points.

If y'all think it makes sense I can include this HAS information in the sticky thread first post and have it renamed so that it isn't Israeli-specific.
