I want to go from Sydney to Stockholm and Rome in June and July, but it's hard to find something cheaper than 2000 AUS $. Does someone now about any particoular promotion (like for students or anything else)?

Why not just book the flight from Syd -> Stock then buy place tickets when your in europe?

June and July is peak for going to Eu. Look for a flight from SYD to anywhere in Eu (eg London, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam), then take a train, bus or low cost air carrier (do a web search).
