I can't find any hotel rooms. They are all booked, even the Hilo Bay Hostel!

Any ideas?

Try www.vrbo.com but it may be hard to come by a one-nighter, but check the listings for the Puna area (Pahoa, Kapoho, Mountain View, Glenwood), Hamakua Coast (Papaikou, Pepeekeo, Honomu, Ninole, Laupahoehoe), Volcano Village, and, of course, Hilo.

Yikes. Unless you actually want to see the Merrie Monarch festival, that's certainly one weekend you want to stay out of Hilo.

Sure do, although with the routing it shouldn't be a surprise -- coming in from KOA on Island Air and then leaving on Pacific Wings to HNM with continuing service to OGG!
