That is a shot at WestJet. Although, I still think the WS flights will fill up faster than the AC ones...

For the YWG-YXU, it will be interesting to see whether WS will re-instate daily service when the winter charter season ends, as has been said earlier. 50 seats will be easier to sell than 136 for a similar time of day. And London isn't exactly well educated on CRJ's yet LOL. The airport will be trumpeting "jet service" and that's all people will hear :)

I hope AC's new service is successful, as I hope WS's continues to be. The more direct flights from here the better.

Westjet had already planned and loaded daily YWG-YXU service onto its website weeks if not months ago. Not sure of when it starts but it's bookable as soon as May.

Given that this news release is more about AC, and secondly, that there is already a thread discussing this topic in the AC forum (which is perhaps the proper venue for this topic), I'm going to close this thread.

Please see instead the thread "AC to Yellowknife from YEG, YYC (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=539661)" in the AC forum (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=375) and continue the discussion there.

Also, from the FlyerTalk FAQ (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/faq.php?faq=faq_postingguidelines#faq_faq_postingn ews), regarding news releases:
