I live in the Osaka/Kobe area with my family. My (our) most frequent destinations are Seattle and Honolulu, though I plan to travel to Guam/Saipain occasionally as well as SE Asia. In the US, I mainly travel on the West Coast.

Currently, I'm WorldPerks Gold. I don't know if I will earn Gold every year in the Northwest program, but certainly silver. I've heard that I can get comped status on other airline programs with my Gold status on Northwest, though I haven't tried and am not sure how to go about it.

What are your opinions for best FF program for someone living in Kansai?

Might want to stick with NW. I think they are one of the few flying Guam/Saipan from KIX. Still can get good HNL and SEA coverage. Now the kicker, and my big gripe with WP is getting out of KIX to anywhere other than Taipai on SkyTeam, may be changing soon.

I dunno about that, there is a huge war going on in the NW forum at the moment as management has come up with a clever new way to stick it to elites.
