Anyone with knowledge of good deals or rate tips on nice accomodations in the east SF bay area?
Hotels seem to all be busy in that area in 2006, routinely selling out...

Do you really mean Silicon Valley? I don't think those of us who live here regard the East bay as "Silicon Valley!" So let us know which one you mean, and maybe we can help.

So let us know which one you mean, and maybe we can help.This point is well-taken: Even if you look at a map and see how "close" the East Bay (Fremont, etc), and Silicon Valley seem to be, the maps have no way of showing or indicating just how heavy the traffic is on the bridge and connecting roads, even outside of prime commute hours.
