I have found a really cheapa** deal for an advantage rent a car from Montreal Airport. I was wondering if any of you had rented here or with this company before...are they any good?

I rented with Advantage at DFW last year (it was under $20 with tax for a last-minute rental), and everything was fine. They seemed equivalent to an Alamo or a Budget.

I have no experience with them in YUL, though.

I have used Advantage several times, but at their off-airport locations in the states, not Canada. For what it's worth, we've had some problems with them not having the cars we'd reserved, but mostly have been able to resolve to mutual satisfaction (which generally involves me getting a discount and/or a larger or better vehicle than reserved.)

That's not at all unique to Advantage. Smaller locations (particularly off-airport) will rent you whatever they have on-hand. Just be firm about not paying a dime more just because they're out of compacts and have to give you a Cadillac.

i would strongly agree and would not back off the free up grade
