I needed a chamois cloth and happened to be driving down Veterans Blvd. in Redwood City when I saw a Kohlweiss Auto Parts store. I pulled a quick U-Turn and turned into their driveway.
As I entered the store, my jaw dropped. It is covered floor-to-ceiling in mint automotive and oil industry memorabilia. There are pictures of their showroom here. (http://www.kparts.com/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=65&g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=833) This is a major exhibition folks  If you get a chance, and you are in the area, do stop by. If nothing else it is a great trip down memory lane.

Yes, I did get my chamois. In addition to the history display they are also a first-rate auto parts store.
Very, very cool and off the beaten track.
