Last night at Target in Alexandria, I saw a car in the parking lot whose license plate was "UPGRDME".

I could not think of any other meaning than that the owner of the car was a frequent traveler hoping for upgrades.

Anyone seen any other good travel-related vanity plates out there?

Alas my vanity plate -- MARKETS -- is not about travel (though that Target is pretty close to where I live).

:D

Question is was this person driving a Kia or a BMW 760iL?

The upgrade me could perhaps be for the car itself!

I have seen a plate "LUV2FLY" but then that was surrounded by a AOPA license frame. So i don't quite think it was intended as a Frequent Flyer as a passenger :)

PS - this thread is perhaps more OMNIesque?

Now who was it who had a Mazda with "ND A BMW" license plates? :p

:p Yeah that was my VW Jetta - which is unfortunately now RIP.

Don't you go downgrading it to a Mazda!

It was a fairly new (2-3 year old?) Honda Accord. Perhaps if the person had really expensive taste they could have felt they needed an upgrade, but to me it was a car I'd be perfectly happy with.

Possibly. I really didn't know where to put it, honestly! I considered CommunityBuzz and OMNI before deciding to put it here simply because if it were an FTer's car, this would be the place where they'd be most likely to find the thread and say "yes, it's my car" which I what I was secretly hoping for all along :D
