Well, I've just got the CP Visa from BOA. I've had a CP account for some time, but until now I've always taken the miles. And I have to say, I'm kicking myself, because I didn't know the CP family was as big as it is, and it turns out I've stayed at a CP hotel a bunch of times w/o knowing it in the last few years .... Anyway, now that I've gotten the visa, I'm going to be accruing points not miles. Any tips you can give to accruing/redeeming them? Elite status? Any thoughts welcome. Many thanks. tls

With the current promo they have (two stays gets you 8,000 points) I will be staying at as many of these hotels as I can during the promo. I looked all over their website to see if they have any sort of elite program and I couldn't find anything. Did I miss something?

They do, but for some reason its not on the website.
Its 10 nights gold and 30 nights for platinum.
You get a 10%/15% (Gold/Plat) bonus and thats about it.

I take it then that every 2 stays gets you 8000 points, and that the offer isn't limited to the 1st 2 stays? tls

Do you know if this is on calender year basis or any 12 month period or does it just apply after your 10th night, regardless of how long it took? Also, did you have to request gold status or did they automatically know & notify you?
Thanks

Its on calender year basis and is only awarded at the end of the year. So if you have stayed the 10th night by March, you wont see any status til Jan. The gold status will be automatic and will show up in your account.

All right, 10 nights for Gold isn't bad. I'm staying at a Quality Inn just south of MB for Bike Week this May for 8 nights, so I should make Gold by the end of the year. Otoh, I doubt 30 nights is going to happen ... tls
