(With apologies for the cross-post)...
Family with a 2.5 year old and a five month infant going to Waikiki for a week late May/early June - where would you stay? The HHV, Royal Hawaiian, or one of the Sheratons (I know better than to even think W).

I have only stayed at the HHV so I can't comment on the others except to say the beach is wider at the HHV than at the others. At some of the hotels on Waikiki at high tide the beach is almost non-existent. The HHV also has a nice kiddy pool and lots of things to see on the grounds. The two year old would probably like the animals - penguins, ducks, flamingos, etc. Of course you don't have to stay there to walk the grounds.

I'd definitely go to HHV because it's quieter and roomier than anything else on the beach. The pool area is as big as it gets in Waikiki and very relaxing all around.
