Just booked 3 nights at the Westin Warsaw in April for just 150 euro TOTAL, and the Sheraton is available at the same price.
Basically, the hotels are pricing out at 75 EURO a night, but you can get the third night free by going through this promo : http://tinyurl.com/cxmp4 .

Seems like a great offer! But I can't get the promo-page to load properly, only the offer details show up but no buttons etc. to click on. And booking straight through the hotel doesn't work..

Try the InterCon. The InterCon is brand new, unlike the two properties above, and usually about 90 Euro / night. At weekends you can blag a massive suite for Euro 150 - these are fantastic, as I found out last year. Well worth the extra cost if you have the money to hand and fancy a five-star blow out.
HIGHLY recommend Warsaw - it has an old town about as big as central Prague, but gets only a fraction of the visitors.

I was in both hotels last month ( Westin, Intercontinental ) and would recommend either one. They are both relatively new properties. I got upgraded at the Westin as Gold to an executive room which was justa slightly bigger room with a fax machine in there. It was also a corner room.
I am platinum/amb and got upgraded at the Intercon to a deluxe room.
The InterCon is in a more centrally located area ( although they are both reasonably close to each other ) I had a great view out of the window to the Science center ( tallest building still in Warsaw ) Was also within walking distance of many attractions.
The rooftop gym/pool is amazing. While the pool is not huge, it is a lap pool. The views from there are great if the fog is not rolling in.
Daily internet at both was around 16 euro and parking at the InterCon was also pricey, but other than that a really swanky high end property.
Hope that helps.

For those who may want to save money on parking please reconsider. Poland is not a country to leave your car parked on the street at night. There is a VERY good chance of your car being stolen or broken into.
Hope this helps anyone who may otherwise street park.

Good point and very true. Another thing to consider: The Westin does not have on-site parking. There is a paid lot ( underground ) across the street. There are also a few spots directly in front of the hotel which are metered. They do keep a security camera fixed on them if that is of any assurance. I left my car out there one night without any problems.
The IC has valet and secure parking in the building itself, so that may be another deciding factor in its favor.

Oh yeah. This is fantastic. I have weekends off for the month I'm in Eastern Europe this summer and was looking for some leisure activities. This one just made the list. Thanks for the tip.

Does anyone know whether this rate is non-refundable, or can we cancel up to the day of arrival? I see both tidbits in the rate information....

Looks to be non refundable. There is also a special for 20% off 2 nights at the same hotels. I was thinking of doing a quick trip to WAW over Memorial weekend, and was hoping to try out the Meridian property, but they don't seem to be offering rates quite as cheap as these.
Also, anyone have any idea when the LeMeridian properties will be intergrated into the Starwood website. Right now for WAW all that pops up are the Sheraton & the Westin. You have to click separately on the LeMeridian icon on the main Starwood site to see those hotels.
And along the same lines, I've got a reservation at the Juan Les Pins Le Meridian which I made just last week and that idoesn't appear on the Starwood site with my other older Starwood reservations

I just booked a weekend in July at the Westin. I'm looking forward to it being as nice as everyone is saying it is. 75 euro/night with third night free, as stated. It is pre-paid. The T&C:
Terms and Conditions
Cancellation Policy: Non-Refundable Deposit- Too Late To Cancel 100 Percent Penalty Is Applied.
Rate Plan Description: Non Changeable Advance Purchase Rate. Fully Prepaid. Non Refundable Deposit..
GTD/Deposit Policy: 100 Percent Deposit Charged On March 03, 2006.
I had trouble loading pages with Safari. Had to switch to my antiquated PC to get logged in to SPG. Hmm. That got it to work, though. Sometimes I'm glad I have that thing around.

Just an FYI - I took advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free promotion last year at the Sheraton Deira in Dubai. The rate was listed as prepaid but my card wasn't charged until I checked out of the hotel.

This depends more upon the hotel than anything else...

Sorry if going off topic now, but I want to book a weekend in a luxurious hotel for my gf and I. We can get a executive room at the Sofitel for €65 per night, or the standard room at the Intercontinental for €79 per night. Which would you recommend? Is Intercontinental better than Sofitel? If so, even with a lower room category?

Looks to be 110 Euro/night x2 for late March now on the website.
Basically, the hotels are pricing out at 75 EURO a night, ....
The night I am scheduled to arrive is restricted in the promo BUT I wonder IF I could schedule and pay for the two nights starting the night before I arrive since I only need to use nights two and three.
I wonder if this would work??? Thoughts anyone who's more familiar with the hotel chain and promotion???
Thanks, Jim

The Westin is a newer hotel, the rooms are great and as Platinum I was given a fantastic suite. Go for the Westin.

You might be right about this, as it regards to the Westin Warsaw. I booked a week ago, and thought the T&C clearly states paid in full at time of booking, my card has not yet been charged. No difference, really. Pay now or pay later.

hey,
consider Hotel Rialto hotelrialto.com.pl
Go to NYTimes online travel section and search for Warsaw. In one article some journalist prises that hotel and comares it to one in Paris and in some other city, sorry can;t remember the details.
If you dig well online then you might find good prices.
I have noticed that booking most hotels in Poland through various websites is actually up to 50% cheaper than booking the same directly with the hotel.
From Polnad with love.

This could be a great hotel, but I generally do my MR's with a combo Mattress Run, thus staying at a Hyatt/Starwood/Hilton etc is important to me. And quite frankly (and NOT to sound like a rich American ;) ) ... but a rate of E75 for a top quality hotel in a major city, that has gotten great reviews, doesn't seem that bad. Especially if, as an Elite member of that hotels program-- I'll generally be upgraded and given breakfast, club access and better treatment.
That said, I do seek out local hotels, and will stop by for a drink, dinner or to just browse around. And if I'm in a city without the major chains, or if the major chains offerings are of very poor quality, then yes I will look for something local. But there are also some major international hotels that have taken over local spots, so they are not all lacking in charm or character

Just wanted to add, that for my e 74.10 rate at the Westin Warsaw, my Starwood confirm now states:
"Fabulous 2 Rm Suite With Seperate Lounge And Guest Bathroom, Bose Entertainment System, Free HighSpeed Internet Connection, Full American Breakfast And Access To Westin Exec Lounge."--to me that's not bad for the $$ ;) (And since it is not a PL rate, but was booked directly on Starwoods website, I'll get full stay & point credits :D )
