I will be staying at a comfort suites in arizona in march while attending a conference. Has anyone stayed at a choice hotel on a government rate before. I am wondering what (if any) documentation they require.
My experience is they don't ask for ID for the gov rate but some properties do
so I am told. My question is.. does the govt rate qualify for the "stay two seperate stays to earn a free night" offer from choice? If so I too plan on staying at a comfort Inn in PHX with a govt rate of $49 which is pretty good for spring. Any thoughts? :)

I would assume that govt rate stays count for the promo.

We used a govt rate last year and it counted toward the promo at the time. Check all rates though, sometimes govt is not the cheapest.

At some locations it is at some it is not. It has always amazed me as to how big of a difference each rate can be at the different locations. The, BEST rate I have ever found at almost every location is the AMVETS rate ( I received from veterans hospital), which shows up as an over 60 rate. :)
