I am holding a 'J' ticket to ICN, but cannot get a confirmed seat. Res staff say there are open seats but they are being blocked by Souel. They tell me no problem getting a seat on the flight - but i need to go standby. Is this normal operating procedure for an airline?? Is there a way I can check to see number of unsold seats?

Why cannot confirm "J" Class?
OZ742 is Asiana's regular flight from Bangkok BKK APO to Incheon ICN APO.
practically, "J" Class is sold by Discount Business Ticket from Korea.
I know, "J" Class seat do not block from Seoul.
But, there're very hard reservation Asiana Flight from BKK to ICN
reason is unknown...
And, "J" Class ticket is only served Asiana (not Internet Sales) and
travel agency around.
If you need check number of unsold seats, contact Asiana Bangkok or
Seoul SM or Travel agc.
Thank you.
