I'm going to remome my PNR from the upgrade software. This would be for flights on less than three hours that aren't catered. The reason? Yesterday my wife and I flew back from Seattle after a great weekend there and I snagged 3B and she did not get upgraded, but of course I gave her my F seat as I rested comfortably in 10C. This exit row rocks. Reasons? You can be the first one on and first on off (except: DFW where they board at the nose as the jetway isn't long enough), the legroom is much greater than the horrible F seats up front, and since there isn't any food on the flight to begin with I couldn't find any reason I would want a F class seat on that plane

Has anyone else thought the same or should I attribute my nonsense to too much Red Hook and clam chowder? :D

I've taken 10C many times to/from JFK on the 757. I understand where you're coming from, and yes, it's an ideal seat to have in Y. Personally, I'd still take F over 10C, but I'm just (average?) height at 5'10". Perhaps my thought process would be different if I was taller.

In my mind, the only downside to the exit row over first on non-catered flights is if a member of the Kringle clan occupies the middle seat. Otherwise, 10A or 10F on an A319 (the window seat doesn't have a seat in front of it) is the best seat on the plane except for disembarking. Oh, if I'm in a drinking mood then I'd obviously prefer to sit up front.
