I will be Y of US from ORD to PHL and return.
What kinds of food or snack I can expect on this route?
Is there any changes for different deparure time?

US hasn't served anything beyond a drink and bag of snack mix on this route since the weeks after 9/11.
Not sure what you mean about changes to departure time.

If you are lucky you will get a packet of pretzels and a beverage. No meals on ORD-PHL flights even in F.

Sorry for my poor English. I mean some airlines provide food only on the flights during meal time, like breakfast. But now I know they will not provide food on all flights of this route.
Thanks anyway.

I just flew PHL-ORD-PHL this past weekend. I got a package of peanuts and a drink. The peanuts were in the new livery.

I'm on AA/ ORD--PHL on March 13. I've chosen AA because their change fee on my $79.30 ticket is only $25 vs. $100 on UA & US!

Meanwhile, F on UA has full meal service PHL-ORD-PHL during the appropriate timeframes.

Although UA does indeed offer meal service on its PHL-ORD-PHL route in F (which I have flown many times) during meal times, I certainly would not call it a "full meal service". Generally speaking, you get a hot egg, cheese and some type of meat sandwich for breakfast and a salad or wrap for lunch and dinner. We're not talking full hot meals here --- compare to UA's transcon routes where a wonderful full hot meal is served. Granted UA's offerings on this route are far better than US's --- you still get linen (or a linen lined tray), glass ware, etc. --- but it's a far cry from what I would call a proper meal.
