There have been unconfirmed reports that real glasses reappeared in First class on US Airways?
Can anyone confirm that at least on the longer flights this pleasent return to some style is introduced system wide?
Flying PHL-SFO in paid first soon that would be a nice change.

If you want "some style" and real glasses, fly UA in paid first, as I regularly do. They have direct PHL-SFO flights.

I flew on America West on Thursday from CLE-PHX and we had glasses. They were HP logo glasses, but I hope this goes to US East too... ^

From what I've seen, HP uses glassware in First on flights with regular meals. On flights without meals, they use plastic in First.

As far back as an F flight I took in mid-December 05 PHX-BOS (& return) and as recent as PHX-PDX 2 weeks ago, HP used glassware in F. Yes, it had the HP logo on it, but it's much better than a Dixie logo.

Several US FAs have said this is true. However, do not expect it to happen overnight. As everything with the merger, it will take some time.
