In terms of profitability, Doug Parker has mentioned in Town
Halls and Q&A sessions with employees that our revenue model
for Hawaii puts us in a situation where we can make a profit on
our Hawaii routes. Unlike other airlines that claim Hawaii as a
mileage burn destination, we chose to fly to the islands based on
a model that has us making money on the route, which is exactly
what we saw in December – profitability on the Hawaii routes.
It’s rare to have a market get off to such a great start so, needless
to say, we’re very pleased with December’s Hawaii numbers.

Someone's filling those 757s, apparently.

the important question is how many will be willing to re-fill them, after having survived 6000 miles in the worst ship in the fleet...

There are two things going in favor of HP: Many of the leisure travelers have Southwest as their model.. so they have little expectations. and second, once in Hawaii, people forget about the plane and more about the fun vacation...

This issue has been raised over and over again, get over it.

Are they able to fill the planes to capacity now? Have they solved the weight problems they were having?
