Perhaps in an attempt to get traffic coming from the other direction Travelzoo is listing a WJ fare sale as one of their top 20 picks for the week. Thing is there is no mention of a seat sale from the US to Canada on WestJet's site. So the question is: is WestJet advertising on TravelZoo? (many of the 'zoo's offers are advertisements not just deals that they found)


Maybe they did some research and have seen that TravelZoo has a huge email database of Americans who like to travel so they have chosen this route to advertise.

WS' marketing department isn't so far-looking as to actually advertise in the United States, so I doubt that proposition. I think a lot of TZ's content are actually deals, so you could say that it's promotion in the sense of cheap seats FROM the US into Canada from a revenue management perspective.
