I have been given the task of planning a vacation for two (all expenses paid, up to $2500.00) as an incentive program for our Sales Department. I did the research with our Corp Travel Dept and presented three options to our Sr. VP to choose from.

Sr. VP has asked me to finish putting together the incentive program and just told me that all three vacation destinations looked good to him and for me to just pick one. Problem with this is that I have never been to Mexico. So, am seeking input from the FT crowd.

Three choices are Cabo San Lucas (5 nights), Cancun or Cozumel (4 nights). In all cases the hotels are great, all-inclusive, etc. Time of year would be late Sept to mid Oct. The majority of these employees are in their late 30s to mid 40s if that makes a difference.

Any input that you would be willing to share to help me make a more educated decision would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Cabo might be the better choice, 5 nights compared to 4 is a big difference on such a short trip. Cabo is on the pacific side.

Cancun is still recovering from the whole hurricane thing and so should not be considered. Cozumel is not so far from Cancun and is a very nice location for diving.

Where are the possible winners based, all of them in the Chicago area? Will one destination offer non-stop flight and the other require a connection? That's an important factor to consider, but the length of the trip is the big one I think.

go Cabo, and be sure to have them bring back some Sammy Hagar "Cabo Wabo" tequilla!
