Are there any deals or suggestions in getting into any of the hotel gyms at a discount? I am staying at the Alladin this month and next and I know they charge 20.00 or so per day for use of the gym. Most of the strip properties charge 20-30.00 per day. I am Starwood Gold but I dont think that will entitle me to any gyn passes.

Any ideas? Trying to stay in shape while on the road. The best gym is at Venetia. I think they are up to $30.00 a day now.

Read the Aladdin Master Thread in the Starwood forum about some of their promo rates. Some promo rates provide a pair of free spa passes per stay. However, their spa closes around 7pm or 8pm. You're right that your SPG status doesn't help. The hotel does not own the spa.

It's not too hard to find 2-for-1 spa passes for some hotels. I have some for the Aladdin's Elemis Spa (ask for the spa's flyer at the hotel's front desk), and I see them often for Paris' Mandara spa in at least one of the Vegas coupon magazines. Some others, too, though I don't recall them off the top of my head. Kind of useless if you're travelling by yourself, though.

I've never tried, but you could certainly ask for a spa manager about a getting a multi-day deal.

It's not far off the strip to get to one of the big gyms such as the Las Vegas Athletic Club or 24 Hour Fitness.

Aladdin has free spa access for a certain level with their slot club. Starwood Gold definitely doesn't get you in for free. If you're getting a spa treatment, like a massage, they usually throw in free access to the gym.

Sign up for the Players clubs and they will frequently send out promos for spa, fitness etc. I just stayed at the MGM this past weekend and had a deal for 15% off the SPA (fitness is part of Spa) there.

Buy a massage (or other spa service) and they will throw in admission to the spa for the rest of the day.

This is a tried and true method. My friend (a dude) just got a manicure at the Wynn while his wife was getting a facial. He service cost $35 and it was $30 to enter the gym normally.

The other option is to ask if the hotels offer a multiple day discount. You can usually save a couple of bucks by paying for three straight days at a per-day discount (ie. $60 for three days or $25 each day)
