Don't they outsource to ATS in YYZ?

WS only employes their own rampies in YYC, YQU, and YMM.

I wouldn't be surprised. I was on a WestJet flight through Toronto a couple weeks ago. There were major delays with ground service. When the pilot made an announcement he was pissed, and stated that he would be personally looking into it.

First: source?

I thought it was ATS? WS used ATS in YYC during the first few years, and ATS still does the GSE mateinence.

Guess it was a staffing thing, those outsource companies pay crap and hire drug addicts.

I believe Hypnotize is under the WS umbrella.

There are few bigger gong shows than the GlobeGround operation at YYZ T3. From recruiting to training to production to (inevitably) accident investigation, they are really scary to watch. The less business they get, the better.

The day of my delay in YYZ, I watched Globe out my window. They were moving almost slow motion style. :)

Ah so you're intimately involved in contract negotiations between Swissport and Globeground, are you?

As if flying through YYZ for a "LCC" isn't enough :).
