I am planning a trip to Seoul (my first time there) and at the moment, OZ offers very competitive rates and it is mileage accrual. I am planning to travel in Y Class and the flight schedule shows that it is on B777 plane.

Just checking if anyone has an experience on the SIN-ICN-SIN route, in terms of the plane seats, meals, etc. Also, does OZ allows you to pre-reserve the seats?

Any comments is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I travelled on Asiana in May on ICN-PEK route. Y service was OK. Not bad but nothing memorable either.

Travel ICN - PVG in Y last month on B777. Seat is OK, but the pitch is not as big as UA Y+, but I think it is bigger than UA Y-. PTV is in every seat. Flight attendent is younger than those found in an US airline. Meal service was great this one hour plus flight, and taste was acceptable. As I used to US domestic serivce, which people do not get anything for free even for a 5 hour flight. The past OZ experience was great to me.

I'm about to post a comparison between OZ, UA, SQ and Finnair in economy. Look for it in the next couple of days in Trip Reports, but for the moment, let me say that OZ was really nice (I would rank it ahead of SQ in terms of total experience overall).
If you are on the A330 which operates the SIN-ICN route (sometimes swapped with a 767 according to the timetable) you have AVOD and a nearly brand new plane.

I flew Asiana Y in a 777 earlier this year. Experience was good. As mentioned, private screens for each seat. If you can snatch the bulkhead row, you'll get a lot of leg room. I'm usually on UA so yes, my experience here was much better than on UA in Y.

Link to OZ Y trip report--as it happens, on the SIN-ICN route you're contemplating.
