My wife and I will soon be flying from Milwaukee to Charlotte, and then on to Aruba, all on US Airways. Can we check our bags straight through, or do we need to recheck them once we get to Charlotte? If we need to recheck them, how long of a process is it (I'm guessing it depends) and is there an elite/first class line?

Thanks for the help!

No. Once they are checked at Milwaukee, you pick 'em up in Aruba. On the way back its the same as you clear customs right at the airport in Aruba.

Enjoy Aruba. It is wonderful there! If youre staying at the Wyndham Aruba Resort, enjoy, thats a nice one. Anyhow all of Aruba is great!

What's a checked bag? :D Folks this is US Airways and you're connecting through PHL, surely you must be a masochist :)

Sweet Thang and I are leaving for AMS in Envoy for 11 days and we had words over her bringing a big bag.

I explained to her that we could have the hotel do the Laundry in AMS and no matter what it cost it would be LESS then the aggravation of trying to recover a lost or delayed bag since we were at multiple locations throughout the trip.

Anybody know a really good restaurant in Antwerp? can't wait to visit several of the breweries in Belgium. ummmm Corsendonk, Affligem, Delirium, a veritable beer smorgassbord

Correct info from kinglobjaw. I'll agree that AUA is just plain wonderful. My wife and I originally tried a long weekend there because we could fly direct from CLT, and we just keep going back.

I would recommend renting a small 4 wheel drive while you're there and explore the north side of the island a little bit. Very rugged, but with a few natural bridges and some nice caves.

Anybody know a really good restaurant in Antwerp?

Haven't been there in about 5 years, so I hesitate naming names. But absolutely do not miss dining at an Indonesian place at least once while in town. I've always had luck just getting in a cab, and asking the driver point blank what his favorite Indonesian restaurant is, then going with it. One of those exchanges led to one of the best meals of my life. Still remember it!

Anyhow, have fun! Amsterdam can be really wonderful.
